Olivier Cavé was born in Switzerland on December 18th 1977. He studied piano at the Music Academy of Sion and later at the Music Academy of Lausanne. He also participated in master classes with Maria Lilia Bertola in Milan and Nelson Goerner in Geneva. In 1995, he meets Maria Tipo and joins her class at the Fiesole School of Music. He moreover benefits from the advice of Aldo Ciccolini. He then begins on an international career alongside musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin, Alexis Weissenberg, Menahem Pressler, Arie Vardi, Howard Griffiths, Tibor Varga, Barbara Hendricks and Isabelle Huppert. In 2004, his first album entitled "Reflections" appears under the label Deutsche Grammophon. In 2008 and 2010, he records, for æon, two albums dedicated to the music of Domenico Scarlatti and of Muzio Clementi which will receive the highest honors from the Japanese magazine Geijutsu Records. Olivier Cavé is currently preparing a "Mozart tour” under the direction of Rinaldo Alessandrini which will lead to a recording that will soon be released.
